About our Bed & Breakfast
Hello and welcome to our home; the University Avenue Bed & Breakfast located in Columbia Missouri.
Our 'Private Home Bed & Breakfast' is a solid brick home that was built in the early 1920's in the 'East Campus Neighborhood' district of the University of Missouri. The bed and breakfast was begun by 3 nurses back in early 1995 with Brian & Kathy buying the home and business on December 5th, 2005.
Our goal is to make you feel right at home. We want you to come and experience a time away from your world without giving up on many of the comforts of home. We have only 4 guest rooms and they are all located on the 2nd floor.
We have WiFi in all the rooms and for those that don't have a lap top computer, we have a guest computer with DSL and laser printer in our common living room. The common living room also has a T.V. that is hooked up to satellite, relaxing sofa’s, books, and card & board games are availalbe to help you relax or just pass the time away.
There is a small guest refrigerator with sodas and bottled water plus a microwave on the second floor where all of the guest rooms are located.
Need to call a loved one far away? We have free long distance calling (please ask before you make an international phone call) in all of our guest rooms.
In the morning, wake up to the aroma of fresh coffee brewing or pick from our large selection of tea served with your hearty breakfast. We will not serve you anything that you don’t want, just please let us know when you call or email us when you make your reservation if there are foods you prefer to not be served to you. At the University Avenue Bed & Breakfast you will not go away hungry. We make sure that each guest is served a breakfast that fills them up right.
Best of all, our nightly rates are always the same. We never raise or lower rates based on time of year, special city and college events or holidays. However, for some events, we do require that you to stay a minimum of 2 nights. But for all of what you get, why wouldn’t you?
